10 year manufacturer's quality guarantee
IMPORTANT: This guarantee relates to kitchen cabinets and doors only. It does not cover faults arising from poor planning, substandard fitting or insufficient maintenance, none of which are in our control. Specifically, it does not cover damage caused by water ingress.
We guarantee that our kitchen cabinets and doors will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 10 years from the date of delivery, subject always to the following conditions:
- If there are inconsistencies between this guarantee and any of our other terms and conditions, the provisions in this guarantee prevail.
- To claim, you must notify us of the alleged defect in writing within one month of the delivery date, or (where the defect or failure was not apparent upon reasonable inspection) within 6 months after discovery of the defect or failure.
- We shall be under no liability in respect of any defect in our products arising from any drawing, design or specification supplied by or to you.
- We shall be under no liability in respect of any defect arising from wilful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, incorrect fitting by you or your fitter, failure to follow our instructions (whether oral or in writing), misuse or alteration or repair of the products without our approval.
- We shall not be liable for normal wear and tear.
- We shall not be liable under the guarantee if the total price of the products has not been paid by the due date for payment.
- Where any valid claim is determined by us in respect of any of the products and is based on any defect in the quality or condition of the products or their failure to meet specification, you shall be entitled, at your option, to have the product originally supplied repaired or to have the original product replaced with a similar product. No credit notes will be given by us.
- Save for our potential referred to in clause 4 above, we shall have no further liability to you and shall not be liable (save for death or personal injury) for a consequential loss or damage, whether for loss of profit or otherwise, costs, expenses or other claims for consequential compensation whatsoever (and whether caused by the negligence of us, our employees, our agents or otherwise) which arises out of or in connection with the supply of the products or their use or resale by you.
- This guarantee shall be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with English law.
- Note should be taken of the expression "similar" as it relates to fitted kitchens with wooden fronts.
- With passage of time and exposure to light, the colour of wood gradually alters. If a replacement is required, it may be impossible to provide a new unit which exactly matches the existing units. In this case of materials other than wood, should the original material be no longer obtainable, we will provide the closest possible alternative.
