Anti-slam fitted as standard on all myKitchen.uk.com kitchens

Huddersfield, UK, 2 March 2004: New Internet kitchen provider myKitchen.uk.com will fit new anti-slam system Blumotion on all kitchen drawers when the full service goes live later this year.  Blumotion is a new system from Austrian fittings manufacturer Julius Blum GmbH that aims to provide the perfect movement of  drawers, pull-outs and doors.

"The user gets a strong impression of quality from the way drawers close. This system will turn putting away the washing up into a pleasure" said John Allsopp, Marketing Manager.  Even drawers that are closed with force are brought to a gentle halt, closing gently and quietly. The braking effect adapts to the force and speed of the closing action, so drawers silently glide shut - without knocking or bouncing back.

Blumotion was considered 'the innovation that produces added value and fills furniture users with lasting enthusiasm' when it was presented with the ‘interzum award: intelligent material & design' by an international jury of distinguished architects and designers in the run-up to 2003's INTERZUM exhibition in Cologne / Germany.

myKitchen.uk.com gives control to the UK consumer. When stage two of its website goes live shortly, consumers will be able to select from a wide range of pre-assembled cabinets, getting the high quality and durability of professionally manufactured cabinets delivered to their door, without the hassle and cost of buying from a kitchen studio.
